Bohol

For many reasons, Bohol is like an emerald. More than its shape and color, the island is notably precious and priceless. When I first went to Cebu, it was part of my itinerary to visit Bohol even for just a day. I asked Vem to accompany me. Kind enough, she went with me considering that she's been into the island several times already. We started very early. As much as possible, we tried to catch the earliest ferry bound for Tubigon port. We also made a ticket reservation at SuperCat terminal for the last trip of that day coming from Tagbilaran City . We need to be back in Cebu by night. Vem still had to work and I've got a flight to Davao by 4AM. Good thing, we were accommodated on the first trip. Travel time was about an hour. We chose to start at Tubigon so we can maximize our time by not going to and fro on the same road. Cebu

Cebu is no stranger to many Filipinos. Like, from the old pages of history down to the recently printed magazines, its name has been mentioned in times innumerable. Why not? The place has a rich cultural past and a skyrocketing success in commerce and industry. I've been to Cebu several times already but I am way too far to describe the whole province. Everytime I go, I only set foot on its 3 highly-urbanized cities---Lapu-lapu, Mandaue and Cebu City. I haven't gone north to visit Bantayan Island or go south to hike OsmeƱa Park or swim at Kawasan Falls. But I've got a lot to tell about the city. I guess the food and the places downtown are good enough to define its culture and its people. The first time I went to Cebu was last 2009. Vem was again my buddy. Needless to say, trip equals fun!
